Artist Statement

My practice focuses on the evolving dynamic between the natural and synthetic domains over time. This acts as a foundation for examining and responding to the crises of the present day. Climate change, pandemics, and the sixth mass extinction impact humanity both collectively and personally. We are both participants and witnesses as the world continues to transform around us.

Through this lens, I construct a speculative universe that intersects with our reality at specific temporal junctures. This universe is more speculative than escapist. The fragments of whimsy contained within it are a counterbalance and a cushion for the preventable tragedies so large and nearly incomprehensible in our own reality that they approach the absurd. In this way, my universe acts as a mirror, a provocation, and a space for reflection. It allows me to reframe ecological collapse, biological fragility, and existential uncertainty through visual and narrative forms that create perceptual shift and invite dialogue.

My work is an invitation to consider how time, technology, and nature shape our understanding of survival, memory, and agency. By combining conventional art materials with found objects, 3D printed elements, and light, I create art that resonates with the urgency of now while gesturing toward possible futures.
